Yes… I’ve read through all the “I’m going to answer this but no I’ve never tried it” answers… but the real actual answer is YES! How do I know?…. because I’ve done it. I used vicks, Vaseline, and albolene … along with some good ol saran wrap and a waist trainer. They way it works is, these thick creams add a barrier on the skin and causes the skin to sweat hence the loss of water weight. Adding the Saran Wrap protects your clothes and also aids in creating more heat and more sweat. I use a waist trainer and noticed a huge difference. I prefer using albolene with or in place of Vicks. Albolene is a moisturizing makeup remover cream (like Vaseline and lotion mixed together). For me, it also helped reduce stretch marks and boost elasticity. So I’ll explain that for you as well… The cream is thick and adds a barrier which causes you to sweat and lose water weight… BUT the heat from your body and the Saran Wrap cause your pores to open which also allows moisture in (I add coconut oil because it is able to penetrate the epidermis) … you’re letting water out by sweating but gaining moisture (oils)) that help to smoothen skin and add elasticity which in turn helps to repair the skin and reduces the appearance of scars and stretch marks. The way I prep my skin is a nice hot shower, with a black soap sugar scrub, rinse well and then I use a dermaroller. I add my layer of coconut oil and massage my tummy area, then I add a layer of shea butter, then my albolene, Saran Wrap and last my waist trainer… I do also take supplements like biotin, maca root, vitamin E, I drink raspberry tea leaf, cranberry ginger tea, and turmeric honey and cinnamon in milk… and of course water.
