My experience over Obstetrics "Please help. Painful swab test question"

I was tested for a yeast infection today (it was positive). I haven’t been sexually active so she didn’t use the speculum thing but she did use a long qtip to swab. It hurt really bad. Like really sharp pain. They think I might have endometriosis so could that be why it hurt so bad? Is it normal to hurt? This was so beyond discomfort it was sharp pain and hurt for about an hour after. Please help I’m worried something could be wrong.
