My experience over Obstetrics "I lost my last two Azithromycin pills.. will my UTI still go away?"

22 years old…. I have recurrent UTIs. Roughly, 3-4 a year. I'm familiar with my symptoms and know what it is almost immediately. Because of their recurrence, I usually can call my OB and get a prescription by phone within the hour. I get the same thing everytime (250mg ZPak).

I took pills 1 and 2 that day, pill 3 yesterday and pill 4 this morning. Well, I flew home from a weekend trip this morning also. Somehow, I forgot the blister pack with my last two pills for the next two days. It is somewhere between here and about 750 miles away. I am unable to get another prescription so soon after.

My symptoms have started to go away. Still, I know it is important to finish antibiotics regardless of clearing symptoms, especially with how often I have to take them for my UTIs and I always do finish. With me missing these last two pills, do I have to worry about having the UTI come back or having to start a whole new course of antibiotics? What should I do?
