What is "Obstetrics " ?
Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), which is a surgical field.
My experience over Obstetrics "can someone help me translate my test results from an ultrasound/transvaginal?"

i had an ultrasound/transvaginal scan yesterday and by the time I got access to my results, my doctor has closed for the weekend. Best I can tell based on googling is I've got two fibroids, one in the uterine wall and one on the outside. I've also got several cervical cysts. I'm confused by the use of the words "complex" and "irregular" to describe the cysts and what that means in this context. I think irregular just means that the edges of the cysts are not even. What does complex mean? Also, I have extreme pain when anything comes near my cervix. Pap smears are hell and sex is impossible. Would the nabothian cysts be the cause of that?
