Obstetrics - Endometrial biopsy in the OR?!:Health care

What is "Obstetrics " ?

Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), which is a surgical field.

My experience over Obstetrics "Endometrial biopsy in the OR?!"

I was scheduled to have an endometrial biopsy in the doctors office today after a month of bleeding. Go in to have the procedure and after several attempts they stopped and said I’ll have to have it done in the OR under anesthesia. The doctor said that since I haven’t had kids before my cervix is really high and they would have hurt me if they pushed more. I appreciate them not going beyond their limits in the office but I’m really scared. Has anyone else had this done as an OR procedure? If so can you explain how it goes? I’ve never needed surgery or to be put under before so I don’t know what to expect. 🥺😭
