I’m in a foreign country right now and am pretty sure I have a returned UTI that maybe was never fully treated previously. I don’t have the option to go to a clinic today, don’t have insurance in the US to call “my doctor,” but I’ve got a second pack of antibiotics from a local pharmacy here (RX not required) from last time so I just took a 500mg pill, it’s Clarithromycin.

I was doing some research on this antibiotic since it’s what I took last time for 10 days straight and I thought it worked but that was only a couple months ago so it’s strange to have another UTI so soon. I happened to see that it could be harmful to a fetus and slightly freaked out because the other day I realized that I’ve been having PMS symptoms for over a week now (extremely sore breasts, low energy) and even though my cycle length is NOT consistent, I’m 10 days past my “average” cycle length. So I’ve been wondering the last couple days if I’m possibly pregnant.

The local pharmacy is closed and I can’t leave by myself to go anywhere further due to safety (husband is currently out working) so I’m over here wondering if I should force gag myself just in case I’m pregnant or is my one dose okay?? I’ve previously miscarried and I believe it was due to a UTI that I had at the time so I feel like I’m in limbo because a UTI can hurt an early stage fetus but apparently this antibiotic can also hurt a fetus so idk what to do😩

Trying to see right now if I can order a pregnancy test to my apartment but it’s been a couple hours since I took the antibiotic…should I try to throw it up just in case or is the one dose okay??😭

FYI my last 7 cycles were like this: 20 days (first cycle off BC) 27 days 43 days 37 days 14 days 29 days 32 days (Average of 29 days) Currently on day 42 of my cycle with very tender breasts which is what my first noticeable symptom was in my previous two pregnancies but also happens every time I PMS, although PMS is usually only 3-5 days before my period. Naturally my cycles are irregular like this and many years ago I was known to sometimes skip periods.
