My experience over Obstetrics "UTI/yeast infections"

Hi Ladies!!

1.5 weeks ago (day after “our once in a blue moon where my husband and I had intercourse”) I started having UTI symptoms which were frequency/urgency/discomfort when peeing and very little each time. The burn wasn’t that bad. Anyway, I used an AZO test strip and it clearly showed positive. Called my doctor, got 3 day antibiotics and it helped, but didn’t completely go away like it’s usually does. My symptoms after is irritation/kind of like an itch down there only after urination. Urinalysis came back negative for infection. However, still had those symptoms for 5 days after antibiotics. Went to OB/GYN since my cousin told me to check for yeast. They found a little bit of yeast and now I’m on OTC ointment/creams for treatment. I have standard white discharge. Does this sound like it was from yeast? Never had before… I don’t have to the extreme itch or discharge.
