Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), which is a surgical field.

My experience over Obstetrics "20F, my period is 31 days late. Not on any birth control, 4 negative pregnancy tests."

I haven’t had a period since the very beginning of April. normally my periods are very light and short, but at the very beginning of May when I was supposed to get my period I had a very tiny bit of spotting and brown blood for a couple days.

Was that my period?? It was barely anything, and I haven’t had any more blood since. I took four pregnancy tests all in different weeks, and I’m not on any medications or birth control that might effect my hormones.

I had a planned parenthood telehealth appointment and I talked to the nurse and doctor about this issue and they both brushed it off and didn’t seem concerned at all, they just said to start birth control so my periods are more regular.

What could this be??
