Obstetrics - Biopsy Question:Health care

What is "Obstetrics " ?

Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), which is a surgical field.

My experience over Obstetrics "Biopsy Question"

I'm 35 (no kids yet). Since 19 I've had routine ultrasounds on 2 breast fibroadenomas. I found a new lump, and saw a new gyno who said it is probably another fibroadenoma and referred me to get a diagnostic mammogram + ultrasound. Took a month to get it. Did it today and nurse was very chatty and saying oh it's probably a fibroadenoma... but then the doctor walks in super serious, says the results are "indeterminate," there are lobulations, and it does not look like the other 2 fibroadenomas that I have. He then did another ultrasound himself and had nothing else to say. I begged them to do the biopsy today and they squeezed me in. I got home and saw the referring gyno doc sent me a message saying "sending you good thoughts and vibes" which freaked me out even more.

I spent the past 3 years caretaking for my mom who had a different type of cancer and passed away. During this time all I ate was junk food, little sleep, very stressed, bc it was all on me and I had no one to help. Going in there today was so raw and brought up so many horrible memories. I am terrified. I have to wait about 6 days for results. Anyone else go through this?
