My experience over Obstetrics "Pre surgery prep question"

So I’m having surgery for two cysts in my vagina on Saturday.the cyst will be opened, drained , stitched up but left slightly open so it can drain. I was only diagnosed yesterday and forgot to ask my surgeon if I need to remove my pubic hair prior to the surgery. Does anyone know if I should or not? And if anyone has had a similar procedure how did it go.
