So, I got a Kyleena iud on August 15 of this year. Shortly after that I realized that I had a hemorrhoid. I treated that and it is okay but still visible. What I’m concerned about is the bruise like purple coloring that has come with it. The purple spot is on my actual anus and seems to have spread to the area right around the opening of my vagina. What is this? I’m afraid something is wrong, but I’m also wondering if the purple color is from my iud insertion. I have a follow up with my obgyn on the 26th of this month, but I was hoping for some insight until then. I had some small cuts from the insertion that made me itch a lot as well around the opening of my vagina. Could I have accidentally caused this color to come up?

I also have no STIs and am in a monogamous relationship with one partner. So I know it’s not that. Any help would be appreciated.

TLDR; weird purple coloring near opening of vagina as well as a purple spot on my anus. Don’t know what it is.
