Obstetrics - I have JHS and also seem not to feel my uterus well if at all. Is this going to be an issue during pregnancy/labor/delivery?:Health care

What is "Obstetrics " ?

Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), which is a surgical field.

My experience over Obstetrics "I have JHS and also seem not to feel my uterus well if at all. Is this going to be an issue during pregnancy/labor/delivery?"

I’m still waiting for baby to be conceived but I’ve discovered this about myself. I don’t feel any period cramps before or during, and when I had 2 IUDs inserted and fall out within 48 hours I asked the Dr when she intended to start as she was cleaning up afterwards and was already done. I was given no pain relief or sedative before either procedure. I ended up removing the second one in the bathroom by myself (which I now realize is totally unsafe and no one should ever do) when it fell out and the office was closed.

The only feeling I’ve had is when my well endowed husband has (repeatedly I’m afraid) bruised my cervix. It still isn’t as severe as I hear women talk about. I entirely believe they feel this pain more intensely than I do and they are not weak in any way for it.

But will this minimal/lack of feeling potentially help during labor and delivery? I have pretty significant JHS especially in my pelvis so I’ve been told my the CNM that does my annual care that precipitous labor is a big risk. I would hate to not make it to the hospital in time because I underestimate the intensity… anyways, thank you!
