My experience over Obstetrics "Pregnancy Advice?"

Okay so here’s the full situation, my boyfriend and I both had Chlamydia for an unknown amount of time. We both had partners before each other and hadn’t got tested before being with each other and then once we found out we treated it, didn’t get rid of it and then treated it again. I’ve read that untreated STDs will cause infertility. Can someone either make me feel better about that or just give me a truthful answer so i don’t get my hopes up?

We’ve been talking about starting a family for a while now and his family typically has dreams when someone is pregnant/ expecting a child. They all did when my boyfriend was expecting his first child. Anyways someone had a dream i was pregnant and his mother said she hadn’t had any dreams but she did just have this feeling i was. I took a test the day after i was told about this dream and it was negative but my period wasn’t late yet so i just brushed it off.

my period is officially late. I usually get it the 1st-5th of the month and it’s now the 7th and no period. I took a test yesterday as well and still negative.

I am on birth control, specifically the patch. I’ve been wearing the patch correctly for the most part except last month my prescription was not filled on time so i ended up wearing the same patch for 2 and a half weeks instead of the normal one week cycle.

So i guess my questions are 1. is there anyway i’m even pregnant? i don’t want to get my hopes up because i’m extremely terrified i’ll never get pregnant. am i just hopelessly gripping at this chance or should i just not worry about it? 2. should i stop wearing my patch if there’s a chance i am pregnant? i want to stop doing all harmful things asap obviously as if there’s a chance i could be i want the baby to be healthy.

any advice is welcome if you want to tell me i’m a dumb ass.
