Obstetrics - Subchorionic Haematoma and Flying

What is "Obstetrics " ?

Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), which is a surgical field.

My experience over Obstetrics "Subchorionic Haematoma and Flying"

Hi - I’m 9 weeks pregnant and have a subchorionic haematoma. On Saturday morning I went to the ER because I thought I was losing the baby due to the volume of blood loss. Bright red blood requiring multiple pads. I continued to bleed as it tapered off over 3 days. I went to an ultrasound yesterday and the sonographer said baby is fine but I have a (big) haematoma near the yolk sac.

I can’t see my obstetrician until next Monday so was hoping to get an idea before then as our flight is on Wednesday - can I fly (one hour flight) with this haematoma in one week? Does anyone have experience in this?
