Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), which is a surgical field.

My experience over Obstetrics "obi-hysterectomy, you’re my only hope"

for context, im 18 and my cramps were so bad today that i was curled into a ball and crying for over an hour. no one was home and i didn’t even feel better afterwards, but i felt like crying was all i could do.

i don’t want to give birth to kids for a variety of reasons, so i’m not worried about regret in that sense. i did some research and early menopause is what i’m nervous about.

what do you suggest? permanent solutions preferred <3. birth control is cool and all but the uterus is really just an unruly tenant that i’d like to kick out. i’ll try to answer questions as best as i can- please try to understand that i just can’t deal with this for the foreseeable future.
