My experience over Obstetrics "sharp pain during transvaginal ultrasound"

hi, i am 23F and recently had my first transvaginal ultrasound. i was prescribed one since my hormone bloodwork suggested pcos. the ultrasound confirmed the diagnosis.

this year has been a bit much for me. i got my first yeast infection in march and i was treated with fluconazole (2 pills). it was resolved but i didn’t feel like myself, my pre-yeast self. then i got covid. by the time i got the chance to get another appointment and they ran a culture, turns out i still had a yeast infection. it had been mild but it had been lingering. i felt so awful and stressed that it was in my system for 3 months. i then had another round of fluconazole and also did monistat this time. i was sexually abstinent during all this recovery since the initial infection was due to someone’s perhaps-not-so-clean hands.

eversince then, i feel like i am experiencing painful intercourse (with a new partner). i feel a sharp pain on the deep end of my uterus/cervix. even tested my theory with a vibrator, same sharp pain. i thought it could be a cyst that the ultrasound would catch, but no cysts no fibroids, only pcos.

the ultrasound was one of the most painful experiences for me. i cried during and after the procedure. google and redditors suggest it shouldn’t be so painful. the insertion wasn’t painful, it was the edge of the equipment wand/camera part pressing up against my cervix/ovaries. i specifically feel this pain at the very deep end of my vagina if that makes sense. i am struggling to explain my symptoms.

does anyone know what this could suggest? i have an upcoming obgyn appointment. how should i address this? what tests do i request?

ps - i have a clear STI panel and pap from as early as last month. and the ultrasound has only found/confirmed pcos.

pps - i have a history of very painless/normal intercourse/masturbation. i am so worried. please any advice is appreciated :(

ppps - i am not on birth control. andddd i had an incident of chlamydia last year that i caught instantly and got treated. i’ve had a lot of messy experiences as of late, i am really trying to be better towards myself and my health :( thanks for your replies and if you have read so far
