Obstetrics - Missed Birth Control Pill. Please help!:Health care

What is "Obstetrics " ?

Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), which is a surgical field.

My experience over Obstetrics "Missed Birth Control Pill. Please help!"

My friend is 26F who has a history of PCOS. Her ObGyn put her on Loryna (Drospirenone / Ethinyl estradiol) to regularize her cycles/hormones. She is not sexually active so she does not use this for birth control. She missed taking an active pill day before yesterday (day 22), but took one the next day (day 23) and now today on day 24 seems to have gotten her period. She has 2 active pills remaining for this cycle and she is wondering whether to take one of them today or skip them completely and take the non-hormonal pills, letting her period continue.
Thank you!
