Obstetrics - Are specks of discharge normal for a yeast infection or is this something else?:Health care

What is "Obstetrics " ?

Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), which is a surgical field.

My experience over Obstetrics "Are specks of discharge normal for a yeast infection or is this something else?"

Never had a yeast infection before, but had sex with a condom, with a new person for the first time ever after only being with one person for years. A week later, over the span of a few days, slowly started to become itchy and uncomfortable down there. (It was extremely hot out, and was wearing tight clothes and sweating alot that week, so blamed it on that). One day, it was really bad and vulva felt swollen and irritated, and inside the vulva, there were lots of little white specks of discharge that would come on to my finger if i wiped them. Other than one day where it was a bit thick and a little yellow, discharge has been fairly normal. No smell. No pain when peeing. I didn't do anything, thinking it might just go away on its own. When I got my period, the discomfort went away, but a week after my period, the itchiness and random little stinging have come back.

I have only seen yeast infection discharge described as thick, cottage cheese- haven't seen discharge described as little flecks inside labia anywhere. Does this still sound like a yeast infection? Haven't gone to a dr. yet because I was hoping it was gone for good after my period.
