My experience over Obstetrics "Trim or don’t trim?"

So, at this point it’s probably been a year since I really fucked up my vagina. I used a very old pad and used it for too long and the next day I realized I was very chafed on any spot that had contact. I treated it at home and it seemed to go away but in the last couple months the irritation has came back. Usually I like to stay trimmed but I can’t tell if it’s helping or making it more irritated
