My experience over Obstetrics "Unbearable periods pain?"

Hi. I'm trying to understand what I go through is normal or is it something I should tell a doctor. I've always had pretty bearable periods. They always hurt and make me uncomfortable but I still managed to function with that pain. I turned 27 this year. Since the last 2/3 years I've had periods where before they start or on the 1st or 2nd day I get unbearable cramps. The kind that would make it unbearable for me to do anything. The cramps are in my lower abdomen, lower back and also reaches my anus. It always comes with vomiting/nausea. I start sweating, and it gets difficult to breathe. My face/jaw gets this weird numbing pain. My mom was with me this time when it happened and she said this is the type of pain someone going though labor may feel( I'm not sure what going though labor feels like) Also this lasts only a short while after which I feel completely drained. I end up all day and night in bed unable to do anything.

This doesn't happen every time, this very specific kind of pain is very random.

So is this normal?
