My experience over Obstetrics "Need advice asap"
I am 9 weeks and 4 days pregnant . I went to the hospital on Friday and found out I have BV and the ER doctor preceded metronidazole 500mg 2x daily for 7 days.. I went to pick it up and the pharmacist said it’s unsafe during the first trimester. I went back to a different hospital and was prescribed metrogel 0.75 for 5 days. Is the gel safe duringbfirst trimester? My OB would not answer any medical questions until they see me in 4 weeks and I read online BV can cause a miscarriage if left untreated. Just need advice please I’m having bad anxiety
