My experience over Obstetrics "Complex thick rim cyst in right ovary."

Hello fellow redditors!

I just want to start off by saying I know this isn't medical advice from anyone who comments. Just looking for feedback and past experiences Fromm others if they had similar situations. I'm working (and waiting) for updates with medical professionals.

I missed 4 menstrual cycles and confirmed I was not pregnant. Dr. Ordered internal ultrasound. They found a 1.8 mm complex thick rimmed cyst on my right ovary. They advised to make a appointment with gyno oncologist to look into it further. So far no pain and no symptoms that seem to be worrisome other than missed menstrual cycles. I actually just got it this week and it was painful but about as painful with cramping as it usually is. Just a very heavy flow. (Sorry if tmi)

Has anyone else has experiences with this? Did it have to get removed? What are possible symptoms that should be worrisome? What should I expect at this appointment? I have an appointment scheduled with a gyno oncologist. Thank you!
