My experience over Obstetrics "Depo Bleeding"

I have been on Depo for around a year and a half at this point and I’ve loved it. It is a lot easier for me to maintain that the birth control pill was. However, I’ve recently started having some unexplained that has lasted for around a month. I’ve had break through bleeding but it has always been super light. Compared to my normal menstrual cycle this bleeding is light as well. However, it heavier than the breakthrough bleeding I had before. Is this my body saying it needs a break and I should stop for a period of time of time?
