Obstetrics - Interpretation of Ultrasound Results:Health care

What is "Obstetrics " ?

Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), which is a surgical field.

My experience over Obstetrics "Interpretation of Ultrasound Results"

I had two ultrasounds yesterday for chronic bloating. One over the belly and one transvaginally while on the 2nd day of my period. Everything was normal, except:

"There is a small amount of free fluid in the right adnexa."

"IMPRESSION: SMALL FREE FLUID RIGHT ADNEXA, NONSPECIFIC, CORRELATE CLINICALLY."

What does this mean?
