Obstetrics - Is it weird to ask my Dr to point out my anatomy since I may have LS and am confused about what’s going on down there?:Health care

What is "Obstetrics " ?

Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), which is a surgical field.

My experience over Obstetrics "Is it weird to ask my Dr to point out my anatomy since I may have LS and am confused about what’s going on down there?"

Recently my doctor mentioned she thinks I (23F)might have lichen Sclerosus because I have a very small labia minora.

I had never looked at my genitals before this (grew up in a very conservative community), so after this I looked at my genitals on my phone and I was very confused. It didn’t look anything like any diagram or any pictures on the labia library. I don’t even think I have any labia. I know that my anatomy looks different because I may have a disease, but still.

I hate feeling so confused and so stupid. When I go to get my biopsy for LS I want to ask my doctor to point out where my labia are and stuff but is that weird?
