What is "Obstetrics " ?
Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), which is a surgical field.

My experience over Obstetrics "Why does menstruation start before the body is fully developed?"
I tried to Google it, but I can't find the right words I suppose. There is a lot of discourse about how incredibly dangerous pregnancy can be on a young person. Like, I started my period at 11. My body was nowhere near developed enough to carry a pregnancy, right? But I know that, in a lot of places, young girls have babies all the time. So is it just relative? Or are we truly not 'ready' to physically give birth until later on in life or is menstruation truly a signal that the body is ready to reproduce? Because no pregnancy is truly 'safe', right? And women dislocate their hips or break their coccyx during birth. So why do we become 'able' to reproduce before our bodies are done developing? I don't know if this question makes sense - I can clarify if needed.
