My experience over Obstetrics "Advice on getting off hormonal birth control"

I have been on hormonal birth control for maybe 14 years now. I started it at a young age because of heavy and painful periods. As a young adult I am now fed up with the side effects of hormonal acne, decreased libido and weight gain. I am also worried about the risks of blood clots and other possible dangers. Should I come off the pill? On the pill, I only have periods every 3 months. Are there any natural ways that I can continue to have fewer/lighter periods if I come off the pill?
