Obstetrics - Finding out I have PCOS:Health care

What is "Obstetrics " ?

Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), which is a surgical field.

My experience over Obstetrics "Finding out I have PCOS"

I had a positive blood pregnancy test on Aug. 28 and an ultrasound that on Aug. 31 confirmed a 6 week pregnancy. On September 2, I began my MA with mifepristone and misoprostol.

Today (September 16) I had another ultrasound just to check if everything was alright, following the instructions I had (I got the pills from an anonymous person who isn’t a doctor).

Even though everything was clear, the OBGYN found that I have PCOS.

The issue is that where I’m from, abortions are illegal and on the appointment I told her that I was there because I had a missed period but later I have been bleeding for two weeks. I hoped that she told me I had a miscarriage but she used what I said as a symptom (irregular periods) caused by PCOS.

I can change to another doctor or continue with her but… What can I say in my next appointment? I don’t want my diagnosis to be altered because I’m not giving all the details and at the same time I don’t want to be in serious problems.

PD. This was my first gynecology appointment ever.
