What is "Obstetrics " ?
Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), which is a surgical field.
My experience over Obstetrics "Odd discharge. Aerobic vaginitis?"
Can someone please help me? So I have been dealing with this for almost 3 months while treating a stomach infection. I have weird stretchy discharge that changes from clear to a tacky yellow every day. I know it is not normal because I have been trying to conceive for a while and I track my cervical mucus. I ended up 60 through 6 doctors until the doctor diagnosed me with aerobic vaginitis. I showed up positive for e. Faecalis and E.Coli. She treated me with ciprofloxacin 250 mg twice a day for 5 days. The discharge didn’t go away at all. So I took another round from a different doctor and it didn’t work either. I went to the gynecologist who diagnosed me with it and I was sensitive to the antibiotic ciprofloxacin so I don’t know why I am still experiencing discharge. This is very stressful because I am trying to have a family and I’m scared the doctors won’t find out what is going on. I also am negative for BV, trich, yeast, and all other stds. And I got tested for ureaplasma and mycoplasma and I am negative. I don’t know what to do anymore this is affecting my self esteem.
