Obstetrics - Pelvic inflammatory signs but not diagnosed:Health care

What is "Obstetrics " ?

Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), which is a surgical field.

My experience over Obstetrics "Pelvic inflammatory signs but not diagnosed"

Hello to all 👋🏻 In July I went on a vacation and happened to get the worst UTI of my life. The left side of my pelvis felt like a knot filled with pain. I was prescribed nitrofurantoin and it did nothing and I actually started to bleed when I wiped after I peed. Then after I was prescribed cephalexin and even though the bleeding stopped I still didn’t feel all to well and went on another antibiotic, this time Bactrim. After the antibiotics I started eating garlic cloves but no relief again. I ended up going to the ER because I found blood in my urine once again after I wiped. I did a pelvic sonogram transvaginally and it showed that my bladder was inflamed and so was my left ovary. The doctor in the ER kept asking me if there was a chance my partner could have given me a STI and I said no, but that he could check anyway. I was negative for both chlamydia and gonorrhea. What surprised me is that they found bacteria in my urine but no growth in the culture (they prescribed cefdinir just in case)Now I am confused and am waiting to see a gynecologist and urologist. I believe I have pelvic inflammatory disease it isn’t really bad but why else would my bladder and fallopian tube be inflamed? I did my research online and STI’s aren’t the only bacteria that can cause PID so can E. coli. I suspect it is E. coli because I had a UTI infection May and never did a follow up with my doctor after she prescribed medication. Honestly I’m just confused and tired of doctors ignoring what I feel. If anyone can give me some advice I’d very much appreciate it 😕
