My experience over Obstetrics "23F, I have a lump in my left armpit and my period is 5 days late. What’s going on?"

(I am not looking for medical advice) Yes, I have a doctors appointment on Thursday and no, there is no chance I could be pregnant. I noticed a lump in my left armpit about a week ago. I didn’t think anything of it until I actually compared it to my right size and wow, it is pretty noticeable. Additionally, my period is usually very predictable. I don’t know if these two things are connected, but there is a history of breast cancer in my family so I am trying not to freak out before my doctors appointment. Does anyone have any similar experiences or thoughts/info of what could be going on?
