Obstetrics - What happens if you take one progestin pill (duphaston) one day before or during ovulation?:Health care

What is "Obstetrics " ?

Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), which is a surgical field.

My experience over Obstetrics "What happens if you take one progestin pill (duphaston) one day before or during ovulation?"

Hi! Long story short my doctor prescribed me duphaston (one pill two times a day) for fixing my irregular periods, however i’m also trying to concieve and my doctor knows this. She advised me to start taking it on CD 17 and she didn’t tell me to wait until ovulation is confirmed. I now know that you shouldn’t take it before ovulation if you are trying to concieve. I am now really worried since I already took one pill today and I’m not sure my ovulation has happened. I had my first positive and peak OPK yesterday so I might have ovulated yesterday, today or will tomorrow.

Is this a wasted cycle since progesterone could work like a contraceptive pill?
