Obstetrics - Abnormal cervical cells + delaying LEEP?

What is "Obstetrics " ?

Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), which is a surgical field.

My experience over Obstetrics "Abnormal cervical cells + delaying LEEP?"

I'm new to the subreddit & seeking info from anyone else who may have had a similar experience to me

In February I had a colposcopy and the results came back with CIN2 cells & they told me to book for a LEEP. Following this there were numerous delays to the procedure, including most recently me getting covid this week. They want to reschedule the procedure for two weeks from now, but I'm going travelling and am worried about recovering from covid + surgery in time to travel. I want to delay the LEEP until September but so far medical professionals have been super resistant to idea. My question is, does anyone have any experience with delaying removal of abnormal cervical cells? The doctor said there wasn't that many, and that it takes years for them to become cancerous (if they ever do) so I can't see why it would be that bad..
