My experience over Obstetrics "I missed a pill and I've been spotting (period?) for almost a week"

I'm on a low dose of junel birth control, and I missed a pill last Tuesday and have been spotting for a week. will it stop soon or will it keep going until I stop taking birth control for the week I'm supposed to have my period, which is next week?
