My experience over Obstetrics "Yeast infection"

So this is my first time having a yeast infection so I have many questions . (My gynecologist is being switched because she always rushes my visits and leaves me with questions). Well she gave me a pill called fluconazole 150mg oral tab. I drank it there at my doctors visit & she said she was gonna prescribe me cream that I have to get tomorrow and she went on with her day . So my questions are how do i know when it’s gone? How do I know when I’m okay to have sex ? Do I have to be careful with what I eat until it’s gone?
