Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), which is a surgical field.

My experience over Obstetrics "Does this sound like pregnancy?"

About 3 weeks ago, I had unprotected sex and took a Plan B 3 days after. I got my period a couple days after (I was already due) and it was very light.

A couple days ago, I was having pains around where my cervix is. It felt like cramping and sharp pains.

Yesterday, I started experiencing light bleeding and today the bleeding is much, much heavier. The blood doesn’t look like period blood, although I am having cramps. It’s a bright red color and I also passed a clot which doesn’t really happen during my cycles.

Any input would be appreciated. Thank you :)
