Obstetrics - C Section for Tachycardia?:Health care

What is "Obstetrics " ?

Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), which is a surgical field.

My experience over Obstetrics "C Section for Tachycardia?"

Does anyone have any opinions on an elective primary C section because of out of control tachycardia, shortness of breath, and syncope episodes? I’ve been having uncontrolled tachycardia for the last 8 weeks, which is only being mildly controlled by 50 mg Toprol XL. I have intense shortness of breath, sometimes chest pain, and also have passed out a few times. My cardiology work up was okay, but I have serious concerns about my ability to get through labor and delivery. For example, my heart rate routinely hits 155 bpm+ while performing basic activities like brushing my teeth or walking to the kitchen. I also have a larger baby that is measuring 2.5 weeks ahead of his age, and I haven’t gained much weight this pregnancy.

Would an OBGYN in this scenario agree to perform an elective C section?
