What is "Obstetrics " ?
Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), which is a surgical field.
My experience over Obstetrics "Idk if I have an sti please help"
It all started a day after my period ended. My boyfriend and I were having sex and during the act I started to bleed it was definitely more than spotting. We stopped and of course thought it was because I just ended my period the day before. As the week continues we continue to try and have sex but every time we try I begin to bleed. Keep in mind it is only during sex. So after a week and a few days of this occurring I decide to go get tested at pph because I read online it could be an sti. So I got tested and the doctor told me I have cervicitis and that many things could have caused this like chlamydia and and just having messy sex, so she tested me for stis and it’s been 6 days since and I haven’t heard back. I don’t think my partner is capable of cheating on me and I definitely did not cheat on him. However I did read online how some individuals don’t experience symptoms and don’t realize they have an sti until months later and that made me think of how me and my previous partner would have unprotected sex, keep in mind the last time I had sex with this individual was about almost 2 years ago. Could I have gotten and sti from him? Unfortunately I did not check for stis before getting with my current boyfriend. Also my current partner did get a physical at the doctors about 8 months ago where they drew his blood. If say I did have an sti before I got with him, would his blood test have shown signs of an sti?
