My experience over Obstetrics "Tips for Preventing BV?"

I have been with my boyfriend for 4 months now. I’m on the pill and we don’t use condoms and have had no issues with infections or pH balance the entire time until about three weeks ago I developed BV. I am on my second round of antibiotics for it and have been taking vaginal probiotics as well. I’m getting concerned that I won’t be able to resume my normal sex life and my doctor suggested condoms to prevent BV in the future, the only issue is I am incredibly sensitive to most ingredients in most condoms and I’m worried it’ll cause more imbalances down there. I’m not even 100% positive sex was the cause of this case of BV because symptoms started while I was on my period. Is there anything I can do aside from probiotics to help prevent this happening again anytime soon without using methods that might cause further irritation?

my pronouns are they/them btw
