Obstetrics - C Section Question:Health care

What is "Obstetrics " ?

Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), which is a surgical field.

My experience over Obstetrics "C Section Question"

Im 4 months post partum. I had an emergency c section after 3+ hours of active labour. Babe wasn't descending despite being 10cm dilated. During the c section, at one point a doctor was straddling me an audibly grunting with effort to remove the baby. I was literally flopping around! I figured this was standard until talking to other c section moms. I never asked why as I didn't know to. But now I'm wondering if my c section delivery was difficult? What reasons would require a more forceful c section delivery?
