Obstetrics - Family member can't get postpartum hemorrhage addressed- Roe related?:Health care

What is "Obstetrics " ?

Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), which is a surgical field.

My experience over Obstetrics "Family member can't get postpartum hemorrhage addressed- Roe related?"

My sister in law had a baby and a few months later began suffering a postpartum hemorrhage and went to the doctor. They have been putting her off, telling her to wait rather than treating her. This has been ongoing for several weeks. My wife believes that this is because the treatment would likely involve Dilation and Curettage, which the doctor does not want on the books as it can be synonymous with abortion. This is in Kentucky.

Do you think that this is likely? If it is the case, would it be likely for the doctor to obfuscate this information? What should my sister in law do? Go to another state or another doctor?
