What is "Obstetrics " ?
Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), which is a surgical field.

My experience over Obstetrics "Irregular Periods while on Zumandimine?"
I, 29F, was diagnosed with PCOS back in 2019. I took BC pills for a while, but in 2021 I felt like they were no longer sufficiently controlling my period, and so I stopped taking them. But at the end of 2021 and into 2022 my periods were getting especially unpredictable, so my GP put me back on the pill, specifically Zumandimine.
My last active pill always falls on a Saturday, but for the last few months my period won't start until Tuesday or Wednesday, if it shows up at all (it did not in May). By then it's only a few days until I'm starting the next pack. Is this just something I have to accept as a side effect of PCOS, or how the pill works? Is it worth going to see my GYN about this? I would ideally love to have a predictable, reliable period like I did back before all the chaos that led to the PCOS diagnosis, but is that even possible anymore?
Any advice would be appreciated, thank you.
