What is "Obstetrics " ?
Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), which is a surgical field.

My experience over Obstetrics "Is it my uterus, my Mirena, my mind, my digestive system, or did I sleep funny?"
Uterus owners and uterus owner helpers, please provide insight.
My body feels weird and I don't know why.
I would love to see a doctor but they are booked up for weeks here. So, I am doing what we do when we are told our issues arent severe enough for an appointment, but still severe enough for us to be going "should I be worried? I'm worried about whether I should be worried." I'm on the internet.
I am 29 years old. I have had my current Mirena for 4 years (it is my second Mirena - 7 years total). I am feeling a bit PMS-y, have some lower back pain and abdominal cramping bit nauseous and dizzy. haven't had a period at all since my Mirena was inserted. I sometimes get cramps but not like this. This feels different.
My boobs normally get bigger mid-month, and I get a bit anxious. Then they shrink end of month and I get a bit anxious again - I assume its my natural cycle. My boobs are currently a bit swollen and sore.
I am in a committed long-term relationship and use the Mirena as our only form of contraception. There is no pain during sex or after.
I have also been in therapy for 6 months for anxiety and PTSD, overcome an eating disorder (mostly) and eat meals now instead of protein bars and diet coke, and have been gassy for days from... cheese maybe? Or bread? Too much coffee? I don't know.
I am also very physically active now. Moreso than ever before. I rode a horse and did weight lifting yesterday, I ran 5km the day before, I hike, I do barn chores... I also sleep like I need an exorcist. So, maybe this is muscle pain? Can muscle pain make you feel like you need to poop?
I feel more 'aware' of my body and less disassociated. But, I don't think that would cause PMS symptoms? I am also needing the bathroom for #2 a lot and wonder if maybe this is digestive pain? Or is it period poops with a ghost period from the Mirena?
Would love your thoughts. I anything, I hope I made you laugh because this feels like a very female post.
