My experience over Obstetrics "Red itchy patches on vulva??"

Last night I noticed some swelling and a lump on one side of my vulva and thought for sure it was a bartholins cyst but today there is no lump but a couple of red sores one on the outer labia one on the inner labia. Could it be possible that I accidentally scratched it and it got inflamed?? They just feel like small patches of sore skin and are tender to touch.
