Obstetrics - How long does scarring last from an episiotomy vs. natural tearing?:Health care

What is "Obstetrics " ?

Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), which is a surgical field.

My experience over Obstetrics "How long does scarring last from an episiotomy vs. natural tearing?"

I'm aware that it's currently best practice to NOT do an episiotomy unless it's absolutely required medically for the safety of the mom or the kid, due to the possibility of more serious tissue damage and infection.

Would you be able to see the scar from an episiotomy or from a natural tear five or six years down the line? Would either of these types of scars, once healed, cause discomfort or other medical complications after the physical break in the skin has healed? If so, is there a more serious risk of scar related complications from an episiotomy vs a natural tear?
