Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), which is a surgical field.

My experience over Obstetrics "Sorry about the dumb question"

My OBGYN decided to put me on birth control because she was worried about the lining of my uterus being too thick (due to PCOS). I was about to have my period so she asked me to start after that was finished. A week after starting birth control she asked me to stop because there’s a possibility that I have endometrial hyperplasia and she’s worried that introducing oestrogen would be harmful. A few days after stopping I started bleeding a lot. Is this a withdrawal bleed? Just want to know if that is possible as I only completed a week of pills. Can I expect for this to be a few days long?
