My experience over Obstetrics "17F burning flesh smell from below"

hello i am asking on behalf of my sister who had unprotected sex for the first time about 10 days ago and since then has had what she describes as a burnt flesh odour (she says it’s very hard to describe and is not fishy). she also says it burns at the last few drips when she pees, sometimes itches and she says it’s from her urethra more so than vaginal. she started bleeding basically immediately after having had sex. she has had spotting but she’s not sure if this is only when she pees or just generally.

2 days after she took the morning after pill and then 5 days later she did a canestan bv / thrush test and it came out positive for BV. the same day she started BV gel (boots own brand) which she inserts once every evening for 7 days and she’s on day 5 of doing this. since the day she started the gel she’s been bleeding more like a period but not heavy.

she will do a pregnancy test if she doesn’t get her period but it’s not that time yet so we’re waiting until then (she isn’t on any birth control or other medication besides the bv gel)

we also do have an sti kit for her but we’re waiting to do that once she finds she’s the bv treatment just incase it affects results

any advice will be greatly appreciated
