Obstetrics - Fibroid treatment options:Health care

What is "Obstetrics " ?

Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), which is a surgical field.

My experience over Obstetrics "Fibroid treatment options"

I went to Dr complaining about heavy period (~135 ml of fluid/day, multiple days. Measured by a menstrual cup) and irregular menstraution

According to my ultrasound, all they found was a 2cm intramural fibroid in posterior uterine body.

GP says this is small and just usually treated w birth control. I have been on every kind under the sun and they all cause problems from random bleeding (not just spotting) to migraines. I had heavy bleeding my whole life and I am so fed up.

Could someone point me in the right direction to resources that would discuss other options? Has anyone had a similar experience? How were you treated?

(Just a note, they could not get a clear pic of ovaries so idk if there might be something there too. I am overweight so that’s probably why)
