My experience over Obstetrics "Itching after pap-smear?"

Hi there,

Yesterday I had my annual exam/pap-smear with my beloved OBGYN. I had no symptoms before the exam but as I was leaving I felt some very faint discomfort around my urethra. 6, 12, and now 32 hours later and it’s very itchy. No other symptoms - no discharge, pain when urinating, change in frequency, etc. just itchy. Is it possible I had a reaction to something? Is this similar to a sex situation where it’s recommended to pee after an exam and I just never knew? Any advice is appreciated; TIA!
