Obstetrics - post marsupialization:Health care

What is "Obstetrics " ?

Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), which is a surgical field.

My experience over Obstetrics "post marsupialization"

i finally had my marsupialization of my bartholins cyst on wednesday. i didn’t have a good experience at the hospital & wasn’t given aftercare advice. i’ve cleaned the area with unscented soap once a day & had a sitz bath today. i’m just a little worried as the swelling is bAD like worse than when the cyst was at its biggest. most of my underwear are too small & i can’t walk normally without it rubbing. it’s that swollen i had to use a mirror to see the surgery sight & even then i’m unsure on the size of the incision. should I be able to see a hole? & is it normal that my labia is a bit blue/purple due to the swelling? (unless it’s bruising) & should i be concerned at how swollen it is? if anyone could share their experience i would really appreciate it as i feel really alone with this. thanks
